John Chappelear is President of TitleWave Properties, LLC. A credentialed real estate expert and friend of the WaveCapital organization for years, we are delighted to have John’s caliber of leadership and experience at the helm of TitleWave.

John has been a real estate developer for over 40 years with expertise in development, finance, construction, and marketing of large scale real estate projects valued in excess of $3 Billion.

He has led the development teams of some of the largest development companies in the United States.

Until earlier this year, John lead Kettler’s strategic growth in the urban, luxury multi-family sector of the greater Washington, DC-Baltimore market. He supervised more than 2,000 multi-family units under development, as well as an additional 2,500 units in pipeline. He also served as Senior Vice President of Construction, Condo Operations and Special Acquisitions at Kettler Management, Inc., and as its Senior Vice President, Multifamily / Condo Operations.

Before Kettler, John had already been in development for 20 years as a Partner for Eastland Development, a Director for Atlantic Gulf Communities and Senior Vice President of Minto Communities. At The Related Group of Florida, he was Senior Vice President for Condominium Development for its Florida division and managed development of numerous projects.

John started his professional career in banking. He served as the Executive Vice President of Housing Investment Corp., a multibillion-dollar subsidiary of Chase Manhattan Bank. He also served as Vice President of Chase Manhattan Bank.

John Chappelear is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Florida.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.

He completed his graduate studies at American University in Washington, DC.
